Barry Auster, MD

D’Anne Kleinsmith, M.D.

Dr. Kleinsmith received her bachelor’s degree from Michigan State University and her medical degree from Wayne State University School of Medicine. Dr. Kleinsmith’s dermatology residency was completed at Henry Ford Hospital. During her last year of training, she was named chief resident and won a research award from the Michigan Dermatological Society. After residency, she remained on staff at Henry Ford for several years where she was involved with teaching residents and research. She served as an Assistant Clinical Professor of Dermatology at the University of Michigan and was the director of the HFH West Bloomfield Dermatology Clinic. During that time, she was a frequent speaker at national and international dermatology conferences and wrote articles for peer-reviewed journals.

In addition to her professional career, Dr. Kleinsmith also enjoyed working with the media. For several years she was a medical reporter on the Channel 4 Evening News with Mort Crim and Carmen Harlan. "Health Talks" was a television program that she hosted on Channel 4, in addition to hosting a weekly "Ask the Doctor", call-in radio program on WXYZ.

Her current practice includes general dermatology, dermatologic surgery and cosmetic dermatology—with a special interest in cosmetic treatment and procedures including Botox®, Juvederm and Restylane®. She is affiliated with the Michigan Dermatological Society, Oakland County and Michigan State Medical Societies, and the American Academy of Dermatology. Dr. Kleinsmith has been named a "Top Doc" for many years.
