Patrice Robertson, BSN, RN, CCRC

Patrice Robertson is the Clinical Research Director at the Michigan Center for Skin Care Research. Dermatology has been her focus for twenty-three years, where she began as the Head Nurse at the Midwest Center for Dermatology & Cosmetic Surgery – Clinton Township, and spearheaded the research department a year later, performing both duties for many years. Growing the research department, her sole focus became research, and she now leads a staff of eight.

She attended college at Oakland University and completed a Bachelor of Science of Nursing degree in 1980. Patrice is a member of the Dermatology Nurses Association, serving as President of the Michigan Chapter for several years. She is also member of the Association of Clinical Research Professionals and a member of the Drug Information Association. She obtained her certification as a Clinical Research Coordinator in 1997. She maintains her certification by attending educational meetings and through on-line classes.

While clinical research places the center on the leading edge of new medications and treatments for people who suffer from chronic skin conditions, it is the gratitude she receives from people who have found much needed relief that makes her work rewarding.

Volunteers are critical for new medicines to become available to market so research is where Patrice dedicates her time and talent.
