Dr. Narendra Gohel is a board-certified General Surgeon with specialized expertise in the surgical management of skin cancers and benign skin conditions. He earned his medical degree from M P Shah Medical College in India and completed his surgical residency at Detroit Macomb Hospital Corporation. As a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons (FACS), Dr. Gohel is committed to the highest standards of surgical care.
His clinical focus includes the treatment of skin cancers such as basal cell carcinoma, squamous cell carcinoma, and melanoma, as well as benign lesions like cysts and lipomas. He is also skilled in sentinel lymph node biopsies, an important procedure for melanoma staging and treatment planning.
Dr. Gohel has held numerous leadership roles throughout his career, including more than 20 years as Chief of General Surgery at Henry Ford Warren Hospital (South Macomb Hospital), chairing the hospital’s Quality Improvement Committee, and serving as Medical Staff President. He was elected President of the Macomb County Medical Society in 2011 and 2025, honoring his contributions to the local medical community.
Outside of medicine, Dr. Gohel enjoys hiking, traveling, and spending quality time with his family. He cherishes a long-standing tradition of annual family gatherings at various destinations for over 25 years.
