Dr. Orkwis pursued her undergraduate studies at the University of Pittsburgh and continued to the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. She completed her internship in internal medicine at Lankenau Hospital in Philadelphia and her dermatology residency at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital in Ann Arbor.
As a member of the consulting staff at McLaren Macomb Hospital, Dr. Orkwis has taught dermatology residents in the clinical setting for 10 years. She is also the author of many academic publications and presentations and holds an academic staff position at Michigan State University.
Fun fact, Dr. Orkwis is fluent in Spanish and Portuguese. She loves fitness, nutrition, and staying current with health and beauty trends, services and treatments. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, cooking and being outdoors.
